Residential Orchard Cottage Nidderdale

The Project

The client needed a large functional, multipurpose studio space but externally very much wanted a traditional timber frame structure to satisfy the planning requirement within the Nidderdale AONB.

The Design

700 sq ft open plan studio with an internal storeroom. An additional garden store is accessed externally. Traditional ledge and brace doors which close to conceal the French doors. The raise tie trusses allow good height throughout the main work area.

The Finish

The shiplap oak boards are finished with Osmo UV protection oil.
