Residential Old Maid’s Farm Brompton On Swale

The Project

We created an L-shaped, oak frame extension to this traditional farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales. The space provided our clients with a new kitchen and dining area as well as a snug with a log burning stove, all with incredible views across the countryside. The two spaces were separated with a chunky oak stud wall. The external finish included shiplap oak cladding, glass and stone, sympathetic to the existing farmhouse and its surroundings.

The hand-finished oak frame was left untreated.
Finished externally with UV oil.
